Paityn is now able to read fluently at the appropriate grade level in elementary school. She currently attends programming once a week for private tutoring to stay on grade level in her courses.
Markel has been with the organization for the past three and one-half years. Markel needed assistance with Pre-Algebra & Algebra 1, two difficult math subjects in high school. He tends to learn better in small groups or with one-on-one instruction, which is how he ended up in our program! Markel appeared to be shy, but through time, he opened up and started attending private tutoring. He is a member of DUYA and he currently attends programming two or three times a week to stay on grade level in his courses.
Cherish has been with the organization for the past five years. Cherish needed assistance with reading and writing skills when she was in the second grade. Cherish was motivated to improve her skills and began attending programming regularly, two or three times a week. Through dedication and discipline, Cherish gained confidence due to her small wins and never gave up on herself. She is currently attending services once a week for reading comprehension and mathematics to stay on grade level in her courses.
